Refund policy

Last updated 2026-05-12. This is the policy Otto Support enforces. It sits above Australian Consumer Law statutory rights, which are unaffected by anything written here.

Monthly plans

Within 14 days of any charge: full refund on request, no questions asked. After 14 days, cancellation stops the next charge but the current month is not refunded except under ACL.

Annual plans

Within 30 days of any charge: full refund on request, no questions asked. After 30 days, on cancellation we refund the unused portion of the term, prorated from the cancellation date.

Goodwill credits

Outside the standard windows, goodwill refunds (e.g., apology for an outage) are capped at A$30 per user per calendar year, max two events. Above either limit goes to direct review by the founder.

Australian Consumer Law

Your statutory rights under the ACL are in addition to this policy. Major service failures entitle you to a refund regardless of window. Optima does not contract out of ACL.

How to request

All refund requests go through support. Otto Support reviews the request against this policy and either acts or escalates to the founder.
